Who We Are
Berry Jane is a family-owned American company founded by designer Ava Carmichael.
Originally launched as a children's apparel company in 2010, Berry Jane has grown into an international lifestyle brand offering women's, men's, and children's swimwear and activewear.
Although Berry Jane has customers around the world, we remain a small business.
Our customer service reflects that. We believe every customer deserves:

Our Business Model: Sustainable Fashion
Berry Jane is different from many apparel companies. Approximately 90% of our apparel is made to order.
Rather than manufacturing thousands of garments in advance and storing them in warehouses, many of Berry Jane products are produced specifically after a customer places an order.
This business model allows us to:
- Offer hundreds of unique prints and styles.
- Carry a much wider range of sizes.
- Reduce excess inventory.
- Reduce textile waste.
- Introduce new prints and collections more frequently.
- Operate more sustainably.
Because our products are made specifically for each customer, some Berry Jane policies differ from those of traditional retailers.
Sustainable Fashion
Did you know? An estimated 11.3 million tons of textile waste ends up in US landfills annually.
Sustainability is one of Berry Jane's core values. We strive to reduce waste by manufacturing responsibly rather than mass-producing inventory that may never sell.
Whenever possible, Berry Jane uses recycled and eco-friendly fabrics and partners with manufacturers committed to responsible production practices.
Making products to order helps reduce overproduction, excess inventory, and unnecessary textile waste.

Berry Jane works with carefully selected manufacturing and fulfillment partners in the United States and internationally. These partnerships allow us to offer a much broader assortment of products than would otherwise be possible for a small business.

Whenever possible, Berry Jane continues to expand domestic manufacturing while maintaining responsible production practices.

About Our Logo
Our Berry Jane™ logo was created as an upside-down triangle with 6 circles. What does it mean?
- Circles: The circle symbol meaning is universal, sacred and divine. It represents the infinite nature of energy and the inclusivity of the universe. (Yes, it also looks like berries!)
- Upside Down Triangle: The upside down triangle is female, lunar, symbolizing feminine or Mother.
- The Number 6: Six is connected with balance, responsibility, and love. Life Path Number 6 has a lot of energy of service in it. It holds the harmony between the macrocosms and microcosms. The 6 life path number is "love toward others in order to exist for others."

Meet the Founder
Ava Carmichael is the visionary founder and designer behind Berry Jane. Ava is not only a highly accomplished designer but also a serial entrepreneur and marketing professional with an insatiable appetite for exploring new strategies and technologies.
Originally from Texas, Ava has lived far and wide, immersing herself in the vibrant cultures of cities like Los Angeles, New York and Denver.
Ava's remarkable journey in the fashion industry began in 1998, when she began designing swimwear. Over time, her passion evolved, leading her to focus on denim and collaborate with renowned apparel companies, fine-tuning her skills and craftsmanship.
In 2009, Ava took a bold step by launching Berry Jane, a spirited children's wear brand. It quickly blossomed into a flourishing line that now encompasses women's, men's and kids' activewear and swimwear.
